Bill Rinehart     Founder, Chairman & CEO

A serial entrepreneur in the tech sector, Unicorn Media founder Bill Rinehart was inspired to create the company when he recognized the difficulty publishers and broadcasters had in capitalizing on video assets delivered via IP channels. He and his team set out to create an efficient way to monetize content on any device with patented technology that enables insertion of targeted ads as well as analytics and performance management tools. The result is Unicorn Media.
Over the last 20 years, Bill has been instrumental in the development of key elements of the commercial Internet: inter-connectivity, high-speed networks, seamless Web hosting and content delivery services. Previously, Bill was the founding CEO at Limelight Networks, the largest media streaming company in the world. While there, Bill led a $130 million private investment from Goldman Sachs, which was followed by a successful IPO. At the time of Bill's departure to create Unicorn Media, Limelight Networks counted Microsoft, Facebook, YouTube and many other name brands among its customers for mission-critical video content streaming.
Bill also made significant contributions to key facets of the Internet at a number of other companies, including Infonet, a pioneer in global public networks; ARDIS, an innovator in wireless data networks; MFS, developer of the MAE exchange point infrastructure; Genuity, a trailblazer in building large outsourced data centers; GlobalCenter, the early leader in complex, large-scale Web hosting; and Critical Path, an e-mail infrastructure market leader.
